Flood Watches Warn Of Excessive Rainfall In The Hudson Valley
Hazardous outlooks have been issued for the region.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — The mid-Hudson Valley could get 2-4 inches of rain or more today, and the National Weather Service has issued flood watches for 2-8 p.m.
For Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester: Showers and thunderstorms will be capable of producing heavy downpours. This may result in flooding of urban, low-lying or poor drainage areas, and small streams and creeks.
For Dutchess and Ulster: Excessive runoff from heavy rain may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Extensive street flooding is also possible.

Localized rain rates could reach 2 inches an hour.
Widespread rainfall amounts ranging from 2 to 4 inches, with locally higher amounts up to 5 inches possible in the corridor from the eastern Catskills to the southern Greens.
