Known as 'Mayor of Crotonville,' Roger Peterson Passes
Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Dorsey. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 AM at St. Augustine's Church.

Roger W. Peterson a longtime resident of Ossining (Crotonville), passed away
Tuesday, November 19, 2013. Roger was born in Mt. Vernon on December 22,
1926 and was the son of Vernon and Catherine (Graham) Peterson. He was 86.
Roger was a graduate of Ossining High School and served in the U.S. Army during WW II in Japan. He was a communicant of St. Augustine’s Church. He served over 60 years as an Usher. He was a member of the American Legion, Parker Bale Post #1597 and was a Past Commander.
Mr. Peterson is survived by his wife Helen (Garrett); his sons Roger (Ellen), Jeff
(Lynn) and Michael; his brothers Robert and Charles (Lois); his 5 grandchildren
Lauren, Shannon, Carly, Charlie and Lucas; his great granddaughter Lorelei. He
was predeceased by his brother Vernon.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Dorsey. The funeral
mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 AM at St. Augustine’s Church.
Interment St. Augustine’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corps would be
appreciated.
