Letter to the Editor: Ossining 2011 Election

To the Editor:

The Town and Village of Ossining have taken the bold step to consolidate their court systems to become more efficient, reduce duplication and save taxpayer dollars.  It is important to assure that this Town Court consolidation is implemented effectively by staffing it with competent members of the Judiciary.

I am urging my neighbors and friends to vote for Michael Tawil for Ossining Town Justice as I believe he will serve the court and our community well.  He has already demonstrated his skill as a leader and proficient arbiter as a member of the Ossining Town Board.  His conservative approach to budgeting, and his intelligent and balanced approach to problem solving assure that he has the judicial temperament required of a Judge in the local town court.

Michael Tawil has more that 20 years of experience as a litigator and trial lawyer.  His public service record has provided him with a strong record of achievement and an unblemished record of ethical conduct.  He knows our community well and we know him as a dedicated and responsible citizen of our community.

Michael Tawil will make an excellent Town Justice and I hope you will join me in voting for him on Election Day.
