
Update, 9 a.m., Friday: There are now only scattered outages in Ossining and Croton following Thursday night's severe thunderstorm. According to Con Edison, the several customers affected should expect power restored by 11 a.m. Friday.

Downed wires on Truesdale and Van Wyck in Croton and the Cedar Lane area in Ossining have left a few dozen without power Thursday night following a severe thunderstorm.
Con Edison estimates a restoration time of 11 p.m. Thursday for 44 customers without power in Croton and 41 in Ossining.
The National Weather Service predicts for Thursday:
Showers and thunderstorms before 1am, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 1am and 3am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3am. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Low around 63. Calm wind becoming northwest around 6 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Friday: mostly sunny with a high of 74 degrees.
