Man Beaten & Robbed in Ossining

Ossining Police are investigating a violent robbery near the village's downtown area.

A man told police that he was walking in the area of Spring and William Street when he came upon a group of teens. The teens followed the man and then started beating him and demanding cash. The victim then dropped his cell phone, while trying to protect himself. The teens then took the phone and ran away. The incident was reported as happening on October 30 around 9:30 p.m. Police continue to investigate the incident.

On the following day, police investigated a burglary on Washington Avenue, near Nelson Park. The woman who lives in the home says that she went to bed Tuesday night, and when she woke up, she saw that someone had pushed in her air conditioner, so they could break into her living room. Drawers and cabinets in the woman's home had been rifled through. The woman didn't know if anything was actually taken.
