Meet the Artist: Croton's Robert Heinrichs

Robert Heinrichs has been retired for many years now, which gives him more time to do what he really loves: paint and teach others to how to paint.

I met this kind man and his wife at Irvington's pop-up art fair recently, where he sold a few of his Hudson Valley landscapes capturing the beauty of our riverside towns. He says his best sellers are images of the very visual Croton Dam.

He's been very generous to Tarrytown's Warner Library -- his works pictured here were donated to their silent auction; others will be on display in Tarrytown through July.

Heinrichs teaches seniors in Croton weekly and he's celebrating an art opening at Tarrytown's W@tercooler on 21 North Broadway this Friday at 6 p.m. with fellow Croton painter Francesca and Joan Lynn Padian. For more information their upcoming show visit the Tarrytown-Sleepy Hollow Patch here.
