New Year, New You: Dare to 'Sensual Dance'
How about stretching your boundaries and your limbs with these unique dance classes for women in Ossining?

It is of course New Year’s Resolution season. While the desire to do something new and good for yourself is still strong have you considered dance?
There are no less than six dance studios listed in Ossining-Croton Patch’s directory which you can check out here (under subheading 'dance').
Among them is E-Sensual Dance of Ossining, which, as you may imagine, leans toward the sensual side of dance. It is unique in offering these options: Chair, Pole and Fitness dance classes.

Instructor and owner Rosemarie Mitchell promises both empowerment and physical fitness from these classes. She also knows there’s a certain intimidation factor for women when they imagine pole dancing and what that might conjure up.
“Join the crowd,” Mitchell said, saying every student is anxious at first, and offering assurance: “we cater to the absolute beginner.”

Mitchell says her classes are a “big boost for women” translating into every aspect of their lives from their intimate relationships to improvements in body image, confidence, career performance, health.
Classes meet Monday and Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m.; Thursdays at 8 p.m.; Saturdays at 4 p.m. Cost is $35 per class, or students can get a multi-class card for $150 good for a discounted 15 classes; or 3 class card for $90.
