Ossining Cops: Man Punched and Pushed Female Friend in Park

Ossining police responded to a call for an early morning disturbance at Nelson Park that resulted a local man's arrest on an assault charge.

A 22-year-old James Street resident was charged at 12:49 a.m. Oct. 1 in the park off Washington Avenue with assault in the third degree, a misdemeanor, for allegedly punching and pushing his female friend to the ground.

Village of Ossining Lt. William Sullivan said the woman, 18, sustained some injuries for which she was treated at Phelps Memorial Hospital.
