Ossining, Yorktown Young Scientist Award Winners Visit Regeneron

From Regeneron Pharmaceuticals: On Friday, April 21, two Westchester County students, Lorenzo Muranelli from Ossining High School and Anisha Duvvi from Yorktown High School, participated in a tour of Regeneron Pharmaceuticals and a lunch with Regeneron President and Chief Scientific Officer George Yancopoulos.

The students are winners of the George Yancopoulos Young Scientist Award, a special award presented at the 2017 Westchester Engineering and Science Fair (WESEF) on March 4. The award, sponsored by Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, honors two student investigators whose passion for science may lead to the development of novel technologies or biological insights. Lorenzo and Anisha received a plaque, a $300 gift card, a tour of Regeneron and lunch with George Yancopoulos.
