An elderly Croton man who was supposed to be getting on a plane to Denmark reportedly did not arrive to his destination as expected, Croton police Sgt. John Nikitopoulos said.
On June 19 at 7:37 a.m., Croton police received a call from a resident who said they had dropped off the 84-year-old Croton resident at the JFK airport in Queens, NY early the prior morning. The man was scheduled to be on a Delta flight that day but reportedly had never arrived at his final stop.
Delta couldn't offer Croton police any information but Nikitopoulos said officers were able to confirm that the man did indeed get on that flight. They notified the caller of this good news. Police then found out that the man had just gotten on the wrong train in Denmark.
By the end of the day, around 7:30 p.m. police had confirmed that the man had been located in Denmark and was okay.
