'Pouncers' Take on 'Wizards' in Croton-Harmon
The fundraising basketball game benefited the Pierre Van Cortlandt PTA and Croton-Harmon SEPTA.
From Croton-Harmon School District: The Croton-Harmon High School gymnasium was filled with cheers and laughter on April 20 as the Harlem Wizards faced off against Pierre Van Cortlandt Middle School’s teachers, dubbed the “PVC Pouncers,” in a game to benefit the PVC PTA and Croton-Harmon SEPTA.
Before the big game, Joe “Big Show” Anteri, the Wizards’ MC, introduced a number of Wiz Kids who had an opportunity to warm up with the Wizards.
The Wizards delivered their signature “Trick hoopz and alley oops” throughout the evening as the teachers, coached by Maureen Dillon and Joe Streany, showed off their own athletic prowess.
