Repairs Wrap Up at Historic Ossining Bank Building

Those driving and walking past Emigrant Bank on the corner of Highland and Croton Ave. continue to notice the building's new exterior.

The shroud is coming off the Emigrant Bank building in Ossining. The scaffolding is almost gone today as a year of renovations comes to an end at the structure located at the corner of Croton Ave. and Highland. People can be seen doing a double take as they drive by the recently exposed building exterior.

The repairs were made by Emigrant Bank, which owns the building. The renovations included extensive repairs that were made to the stones on the outside of the structure. Workers also replaced windows, mortar and roof coverings.

"It's very important to maintain these historic buildings. I think they have tremendous character. The bank is very pleased to contribute to maintaining the historic fabric of Ossining and providing a wonderful workplace for our staff," said Emigrant Bank Representative Alastair Lamb.
