Several Ossining Residents Lose Big Money From Bank Accounts

Several Chase customers who live in the village of Ossining discovered a sizable amount of money missing from their checking accounts recently, police reported. 

One Ossining resident reported to police on July 17 that he had received an overdraft notice on his Chase checking account. A withdrawal he didn't make of $8,000 brought the account down to $600. 

Another resident reported to police on July 12 that several bad checks had been written against their Chase account, resulting in a total loss of $13,900. One of the checks was for $8,900, police said. 

Lt. James Montague said both cases are under further investigation.
