Students Recognized for Art Portfolios

Roosevelt and Ossining High School students get high marks at Purchase College's art evaluation.

Students and teachers from and have something new to brag about. Ten students from the schools were acknowledged for their art portfolios recently in the New York State Teachers Association’s Portfolio Project. The event was held at Purchase College.

Students taking part in the Portfolio Project included Emma Kates-Shaw, Rebecca Policello and Pamela Brigleb from OHS. Tori Andrews, Maya Aviles, Jahsir Doughty, Skyler Jones, Kristen Meikle, Jillian McGuckin, and Daniel Zhu represented Roosevelt.

The students submitted five of their best works of art. They also submitted two written pieces on the art world. The judges then scored both the artwork and the written pieces.
