Traffic Advisory: Avoid Area of Highland and Waller Avenue in Ossining
A utility pole has caught fire. First responders are on scene.

Ossining Police are telling commuters to avoid the area of Highland Avenue and Waller Avenue during your rush hour commute. A utility pole caught fire a few minutes ago. First responders rushed in to put out the flames.
Even though the fire is out, the area is completely blocked off to traffic, including the northbound and southbound lanes on Route 9. Police are telling drivers to take Walden Road or Maurice Avenue—using the backroads to work your way around the blocked roadway.
Ossining Police say that a transformer caught fire. There is only one home without power in Ossining due to the transformer fire.
