Tuesday, August 20 

_Ossining Town Hall Meeting on Understanding Your School Tax Bill:

  • "Please join the Ossining Town Hall Meeting on August 20th at 7:30 PM at the Ossining Public Library for a collaborative presentation with the Town and the School District as we present Understanding your School Tax Bill. The goal of the presentation is to present information and answer questions about your tax bill before your receive the tax bill. Alitz Zuber, Assistant Superintendent for Ossining Schools and Fernando Gonzalez, Ossining Town Assessor will be presenting on this very important topic. We hope that you will join us as we attempt to provide transparency and clarity to this process."

Wednesday, August 21

_Ossining Board of Education holds their regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the Roosevelt School Cafeteria, 190 Croton Avenue. Following this is a work session focusing on the following topics:

  • Sale of Land - The Ossining School District has been approached by the Town of Ossining to sell some of the property on the Anne M. Dorner Middle School (AMD) site.  Currently, the land is not used by the school and it is not anticipated to need it in the future.  During the Board of Education meeting, the community will have the opportunity to learn specifics regarding the proposal.
  • Potential District Goals - Discussions regarding the potential District Goals for the 2014-2015 school year will continue.
