What Our Dads Taught Us
Father's Day musings from around Ossining and Croton-on-Hudson.
I recently visited the bustling Choice Pets store in Ossining to find some folks willing to talk about their dads. Turns out pet people are also very articulate when it comes to their dear old dads.
Those who shared here in the Arcadia plaza on "What their dads taught them" are (in order of appearance):
- Peter Alomor, pet store employee, Ossining
- Morgne Cramer, who took her father's advice to heart and "absolutely loves" what she does, she's an English professor in CT who lives in Ossining
- Erin Mark, of Ossining
- Cynthia Wright, picking up pet supplies all the way from Florida (she's in town for next weekend's Clearwater Festival in Croton)
- Scott Matthews, Briarcliff Manor
- Jose Diaz, Ossining
- 10-year-old boy, who also happened to be visiting with his family from Florida
