Would Society Accept the Leatherman Today?

We already know the story of the Leatherman and read about the unsuccessful attempt to exhume his remains on Patch. But what would happened if the Leatherman were living in today's world? Litchfield County's The Register Citizen newspaper advanced the Leatherman story—looking at the folk legend from today's perspective.
