2 Men Who Stole Mail Arrested In Mill Neck: Police
A black trash bag full of mail from 18 homes was found near the men, police say.
MILL NECK, NY — Two Oyster Bay men were arrested Thursday after Nassau police said they stole mail.
Brookville police saw two men near West Shore Road and Cleft Road, where mail theft has been an ongoing problem, Nassau police said. The officer stopped Joseph P. Cusick, 48, and William J. Glennerster, 47, around 4 a.m. and asked what they were doing, police said. The officer saw a black trash bag containing mail from 18 different residents near the duo, police said.
The men were arrested and each charged with eight counts of petit larceny and eight counts of fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

They were issued appearance tickets and scheduled to return to First District Court in Hempstead on Oct. 27.
Detectives asked anyone who feels they may been the victim of a similar incident to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS or call 911.
