The 137th year at Friends Academy kicked off Tuesday.
The Locust Valley Quaker school welcomed 779 students, a record enrollment.
While there's plenty of history and tradition to embrace, middle schoolers enjoyed something new. They will be using iPads as part of the curriculum.  Â
