Here's How Much Snow Oyster Bay Got During Friday's Snowstorm

Here is Oyster Bay's snowfall total for Jan. 7, 2022.

OYSTER BAY, NY — A quick-moving snowstorm brought joy to children across Long Island Friday, but pain to anyone trying to get somewhere.

More than a half-foot of snow had already fallen by 7 a.m. in many places on the Island. Oyster Bay got 7.5 inches during Friday's snowstorm, according to unofficial snow totals from the National Weather Service.

The most snow — a total of 9.3 inches — was reported in Glen Cove. The second-highest total on the Island was Syosset with 8.9 inches, while third place was tied between Huntington Station, Stony Brook, and Dix Hills with 8.6 inches.
