IHS Group is an HR, insurance, and financial services firm nestled in the heart of Oyster Bay, specializing in payroll and benefits savings for businesses. In an effort to support three local non-profits while also encouraging others to enjoy downtown Oyster Bay, the firm is hosting a Charity 5K on September 6, 2025 starting at 10:00 AM.
Chris LoGrippo, partner at IHS Group and a Board Member of the Oyster Bay-East Norwich Chamber of Commerce, has lived in Oyster Bay for the last eleven years and has great pride in the beautiful Hamlet. "Oyster Bay is such a gem on Long Island that more people need to experience. A fun charity event will allow Long Islanders to support three amazing causes while enjoying downtown businesses," LoGrippo said. Oyster Bay Brewing Company will provide their space for the after-party and is generously offering one beer voucher to all participants over the age of 21.
"The goal is to have 300 participants come out for our first year hosting this 5K. People can run, walk, or crawl--as long as they have fun!" The event will raise funds for the Nassau Suffolk Autism Society of America (NSASA), Life Center of Long Island, and Gleason's Give a Kid a Dream. Proceeds from the event will help these non-profits further their programs and put smiles on many faces.

Participants may register for $50 at ihsrun.com and will receive a bib and a t-shirt along with post race photos. IHS Group is looking for sponsors to help support the event.
