Locust Valley Teacher Spotlight: Dr. MaryEllen Minogue

How do you know the teacher?

Both my daughter and I were students at Sacred Heart Academy where we were lucky to study English literature and Gender Studies with Dr. Minogue.

What does this person teach?

English, writing, and college-level courses in Gender Studies.

Why do you believe the teacher should be recognized or honored?

Dr. Minogue is an educator whose teachings apply to one’s entire life. She truly cares about her students and is happy to provide college recommendations and research opera that many use to guide them at the finest colleges in the world.

Dr. Minogue’s graceful manner and kindness only serve to highlight her serious approach to learning. She is the perfect role model, educator, and friend and we are grateful to know her.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the teacher?

Dr. MaryEllen Minogue is an expert in her field who cares equally about her students, their learning, and their lives. She encourages them to grow as independent and informed women of faith.
