Man Dies After Southern State Parkway Rollover Crash Friday: PD
The 57-year-old Lindenhurst man died at the hospital after the crash, police say.
NORTH MASSAPEQUA, NY — A Lindenhurst man died after a rollover crash in North Massapequa Friday afternoon, police said.
According to New York State police, the crash took place at about 2 p.m. on the Southern State Parkway, in the eastbound lane east of Exit 29 and Hicksville Road.
Upon arrival, New York State troopers saw the two vehicles involved in the crash, a white Toyota Camry and a black Chevrolet Colorado, which was overturned, with EMS evaluating the driver, police said.

The driver, Thomas Bayer, 57, of Lindenhurst, was taken to Nassau University Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries, police said. The driver of the Camry was taken to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries, police said.
The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation and collision reconstruction unit responded to assist in the investigation, police said.
