No

Now we'd like to ask a few questions about your reasons for running and your general views on politics and government. First, why are you seeking this office?

I am running for office because I want to do whatever I can to make a difference in my local community and improve the quality of life for my neighbors and the residents of Nassau County.

Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing constituents is:

Affordability. I believe that Nassau County is facing an affordability crisis felt both by homeowners and those seeking to become homeowners. There is a lack of homes available for prospective first time homebuyers, and for current homeowners rising costs, and high property taxes leave many struggling to maintain the homes they currently own. I find that seniors in particular are left weighing whether they need to sell their homes simply to fund their retirement.

What needs to be done to address water quality issues on LI?

Runoff from chemical fertilizers is a one of the most significant sources water contamination on Long Island. I believe restrictions and even bans on the application of certain fertilizers will have positive impact on our water and improving its quality. Our overuse of septic systems throughout Long Island cause nitrogen and other contaminants to leak into our soil and groundwater sources. Wherever possible and economically feasible, we should seek to expand our public sewer systems to mitigate this problem.

What do you think can be done to help improve our infrastructure, highways, etc.?

Focusing on storm and flood readiness should be a top priority when improving our infrastructure. Much of Long Island is located within flood zones, ensuring that we have sufficient drainage should go a long way preventing damage to our streets and protecting residents’ properties.

How would you plan to help local business owners, who are struggling because of high rents, inflation and labor shortages?

Utilizing Nassau County’s surplus ARPA funding to help for short-term grants or low interest loans could help local businesses cover any interim shortfalls. Cutting and/or reducing permitting fees will help reduce operating costs for local businesses and improve their cash flow.

How are federal issues impacting local government?

Federal policies on tariffs and immigration are having a negative impact not just throughout the County, but across the country. Prices have risen on everyday items and commodities due to tariffs. Federal immigration policies regarding ICE raids are having a detrimental impact on families, breaking them up throughout communities.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidate seeking this post?

Unlike my opponent I do not intend to be a rubber stamp for any administration. I am willing to appear at debates, Town Halls, candidate forums, and will not shy away from answering questions from the public or press.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?

I believe in common sense governance and ensuring our services are properly funded (i.e., NUMC, Local Parks, our police force, etc …).

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

As an attorney I have often had to collaborate with opposing parties to come to resolutions on cases. Being able to negotiate, especially in a purple county like Nassau is necessary to ensure voters from all districts and parties are properly represented.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
