Nassau Tree Trimmer Fell 30 Feet To His Death When Branches Snapped: Police

MUTTONTOWN, NY — A tree trimmer working in Muttontown was killed on Monday afternoon when branches broke off sending the victim 30 feet to the ground, police said.

A pair of tree limbs snapped as he worked on the Woodstock Court property.

The victim, who has not been identified yet, suffered a severe injury and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The homicide squad is to investigate this incident in conjunction with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
