Oyster Bay Inspector General Resigns Amid Conflict Of Interest Probe
Brian Noone will step down on Friday, according to Newsday.

OYSTER BAY, NY — Town of Oyster Bay Inspector General Brian Noone will reportedly resign this week.
Noone's job had been in flux since a March recommendation that he gave to the town for a $2 million contract with a company that had ties to his private business, Newsday reported.
Noone, who is under investigation by the Nassau District Attorney's Office, announced he will step down on Friday, Newsday said.

Although Noone wrote in the resignation letter that he is facing "libelous allegations," he added that his "employment is a distraction to the operation of government in the Town of Oyster Bay," according to Newsday.
