Saladino Wins Town Of Oyster Bay Supervisor Race

The incumbent Saladino emerged victorious in Nassau County on Election Night.

OYSTER BAY, NY β€” Voters have spoken, and the incumbent Joseph S. Saladino appeared to emerge victorious in the race for Supervisor of the Town of Oyster Bay.

β€œA tremendous thank you to all the residents of the Town of Oyster Bay for allowing me to continue as your Supervisor," Supervisor Saladino said in a release. "My team and I will continue to protect your wallets and the suburban quality of life we all cherish. I am so grateful for the trust you have placed in me to represent your voice in government.”

According to unofficial results by the Nassau County Board of Elections, Republican candidate Saladino garnered 46,235 votes, or 66.46 percent, compared to 23,300 votes, or 33.49 percent, garnered by challenger and Democratic candidate Sam C. Sochet.

As of 12:47 a.m. on Wednesday, Saladino was ahead with 36,005 votes, or 66.28% against Sochet's 18,290 votes, or 33.67 percent. Saladino has stayed in that 66 percent range.

Saladino ran to be re-elected. He is the 70th Town of Oyster Bay Supervisor and has served since 2017.
