Raynham Hall Museum Halloween Parade Invites All This Saturday
The Raynham Hall Museum Ghost Walk unfolds Saturday.
OYSTER BAY, NY — The Raynham Hall Museum is hosting a Halloween parade this Saturday, starting at 5:45 p.m.
The parade kicks off at Oyster Bay High School on East Main Street and will end at Derby-Hall bandstand, across from the Oyster Bay Post Office, where live music will be.
Thomas Salerno, one of the museum's docents, or tour guides, said he is excited for this year's parade.

"It's always lots of great energy with singing and dancing in the street," he said.
Salerno said all are welcome to join in the parade, including people in costume, with their four-legged friends, or with decorated cars.

"We've done this for several years now, and the whole community takes part," he said. "We usually have some of our employees dress in colonial attire. We also have paper and felt ghosts on poles that move around the parade and have a bit of life to them."
Salerno has been a tour guide at the Raynham Hall Museum for about a year and a half and said he enjoys working at a smaller museum for the close-knit family atmosphere.
"I'm a huge history buff, so I just love working here," he said. "I get to meet a lot of interesting people on the tours."
