Veterans, Military Members Can Golf For Free Friday In Oyster Bay

OYSTER BAY, NY — In honor of Veterans Day, veterans and active duty military personnel can golf for free in Oyster Bay Friday.

The Town of Oyster Bay announced that the town will honor veterans and members of the military for their service at the Hon. Joseph Colby Town of Oyster Bay Golf Course, 1 South Woods Rd. in Woodbury. on Veterans Day.

“The brave men and women of our United States Armed Forces put their lives on the line and sacrifice their time to protect our freedoms and democracy,” Supervisor Saladino said.

“This is an important way of saying ‘thank you’ and we’re pleased to be able to offer this free round of golf on Veterans Day as a small token of appreciation for all they’ve done and continue to do for our nation.”

To qualify, golfers must be residents of Oyster Bay Town and have military ID or discharge papers.
