Woman Bites Police Officer At Oyster Festival: Cops

The woman resisted arrest after she refused to pay for parking at the festival, police say.

A Syosset woman is accused of biting a police officer following an incident at the Oyster Festival in Oyster Bay on Sunday, police say.

According to authorities, 24-year-old Molly Dutrow refused to pay parking lot fees for the Oyster Festival in the lot on the corner of West Main Street and Larrabee Avenue at 5:15 p.m. Police responded to the scene and directed Dutrow to exit her vehicle.

Police say Dutrow bit an officer on the left arm, causing a contusion, and resisted arrest by kicking her legs. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Second Precinct.

An investigation revealed she was involved in unrelated incidents, police say.

She was charged with second-degree assault, second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, first-degree identity theft, second-degree governmental administration, resisting arrest and four counts of petty larceny.

She will be arraigned on Monday at First District Court in Hempstead.
