BROOKLYN, NY — One firefighter was hurt battling a Butler Street building blaze Thursday night, according to the FDNY.

Flames erupted at a building on the corner of Butler and Nevins streets shortly before 10 p.m, fire officials said.

All told, 60 firefighters rushed to the building and battled the blaze for over an hour, according to the FDNY.

Videos posted on the safety app Citizen show fire trucks crowding the base of the building, addressed as 235 Nevins Street.

The FDNY got the blaze under control around 11 p.m., but not before one firefighter was hurt and rushed to a nearby hospital, fire officials said.

The first responder was only minorly hurt, according to the FDNY.

As of Friday morning, fire officials said they didn't know what caused the fire, and that the blaze is still under investigation.
