FDNY Battles Late-Night Apartment Fire In Park Slope

BROOKLYN, NY — A massive blaze erupted in a Park Slope apartment building late Monday night, officials said.

Firefighters rushed to 182 8th Avenue, between First Street and Garfield Place, around 10:30 p.m., finding the third floor of the apartment building engulfed in flames.

It took roughly 60 firefighters almost an hour to extinguish the blaze, according to an FDNY spokesperson.

No injuries were reported as of Tuesday morning, said the FDNY

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
