Person Critically Hurt In Seventh Street Apartment Blaze, FDNY Says
Three firefighters were left with "minor" injuries after flames erupted on the Park Slope border Thursday morning, fire officials said.
PARK SLOPE, NY — A Seventh Street fire sent smoke billowing into the sky and left one person critically hurt Thursday morning, according to the FDNY and video taken of the blaze.
Flames erupted at 248 Seventh St., near Fourth Avenue, about 1:20 a.m., prompting 60 first responders to rush to the building, fire officials said.
One civilian was hospitalized with critical injuries and three firefighters suffered minor injuries, according to the FDNY.

Videos posted on the safety app Citizen show smoke billowing from a residential window as fire trucks crowded the base of the building.
The fire, which began on the top floor of the four-story building, was under control by 2:30 a.m., fire officials said.

The Fire Marshall is still investigating what started the blaze, according to the FDNY.
