4 Park Slope Buildings Make NYC's Worst Landlords List
The buildings have a total of 259 violations, according to the recently released list from the Public Advocate's office.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — While New Yorkers saw staggering rent increases over the last year, housing violations also reached new heights.
The office released their annual Worst Landlord Watchlist on Tuesday, and a handful of Park Slope buildings made the list.
"Across the entire list, there were a staggering 69,018 violations, nearly a 30% increase from the previous year," Public Advocate Jumaane Williams tweeted. "Conditions continue to deteriorate even as the median rent in the city has massively increased."

In Park Slope, four buildings made the list this year, which meant they each had an exceptional number of violations in 2022 from the city's office of Housing Preservation and Development.
The worst building listed in Park Slope is 377 13th St. with a total of 112 violations.

According to the list, all of the buildings are owned by Prashanth Rayapudi, who is listed as the head officer for the properties.
Rayapudi ranks as number 85 on the list of the 100 worst landlords, with 457 violations across 11 properties.
Here are all of the Park Slope buildings on the list:
- 377 13th Street: 112 violations
- 171 15th Street: 82 violations
- 238 8th Street: 38 violations
- 196 Prospect Park West: 27 violations
