Fireworks Set For Prospect Park On New Year’s Eve: What To Know
"There's no place better to ring in the new year than at Prospect Park," Borough President Antonio Reynoso said.
BROOKLYN, NY — Brooklyn is bringing in 2026 the way it always does — together, in its backyard.
Prospect Park will light up with fireworks and a live set from Quintessential Playlist as neighbors celebrate the New Year.
As in past years, the celebration begins at 10 p.m. with a performance at Grand Army Plaza, leading up to the fireworks at midnight.

“There’s no place better to ring in the new year than at Prospect Park,” Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso said. “Every year, neighbors from all over the city head to Grand Army Plaza to enjoy this time-honored Brooklyn tradition,"
Locals can RSVP to the free fireworks show online, but tickets are not required.

“New Year’s Eve in Prospect Park is a beloved, decades-long tradition and celebration near to the hearts of so many Brooklynites,” Prospect Park Alliance President, Morgan Monaco said. "It is a special moment for our Brooklyn community to gather together in Brooklyn’s Backyard and ring in the new year with vibrant local entertainment and a gorgeous fireworks display.”
The Brooklyn New Year’s Eve fireworks have been a borough tradition for more than four decades. The show will launch promptly at midnight at Grand Army Plaza on Wednesday.
"Bring your friends and family to welcome in 2026 and enjoy a spectacularly bright and colorful show,” Reynoso added.
