On Tuesday, September 20, the Department of Cultural Affairs will host a Q&A for all artists interested in becoming involved in SPARC: Seniors Partnering with Artists Citywide, a community arts engagement program that places artists-in-residence at senior centers across the five boroughs.
The program places hand-picked artists in senior centers so they can build an arts program for the elderly. The artists will be provided a studio space and a stipend for their time and work.
All artists are encouraged to apply to SPARC’s competitive application process. Click here to download the application and learn more about the program. You can also find the application on the Brooklyn Arts Council website. The deadline for all submissions is September 30, 2011.
