BROOKLYN, NY — The man who groped a young woman in a Brooklyn subway station last weekend sexually attacked another woman days beforehand in Manhattan, police announced.

His sex crimes started on July 20 on the Upper West Side, when he dragged a woman, 20, to a secluded area and tried to rape her before fleeing on his electric scooter, the NYPD said.

He struck again several days latter on July 23, grabbing a woman, 33, in the Carroll Street subway station and trying to muffle her screams while groping her, police said.

The NYPD linked the man to both sex crimes, describing him as 20-25 years old and releasing surveillance photos of him from both attacks.

As of Wednesday — a week after his first attack — the man is still on the loose, police said.
