Why Go: The Green-Wood Historic Fund will host an afternoon with Brooklyn’s own best-selling author Paul Auster for a talk and a Q & A about his latest novel, Sunset Park. Following the talk, Auster will be joined by Green-Wood historian Jeff Richman for a trolley tour to some of the author’s favorite spots in Green-Wood Cemetery.

Why Go: Dig Deeper is a monthly 60’s soul music party hosted by Mr. Robinson. The dance floor will be moving thanks to DJ Honky, spinning the finest funk and soul records.

Why Go: The Inaugural Brooklyn Marathon will start at 8 a.m. and will be capped at 6 hours. It will be an electronically timed and is a Boston Qualifier. Register now (be aware that all spots are sold out, but there is a waiting list). The race starts and ends on Center Drive in the park. The course exits Center Drive at West Drive, makes seven complete circuits and one lower loop before returning to Center Drive from East Drive.
