Inspector Ameri, Community Parade to Grand Army Plaza

As part of National Night Out, the 78th Precinct's commanding officer, a local marching band and members of the community marched together.

"See a crime, drop a dime."

That's what the sign held by the 78th Precinct's Deputy Inspector Michael Ameri and 78th Precinct Community Council President Pauline Blake read as the pair marched to Grand Army Plaza Tuesday evening, leading a parade to celebrate National Night Out.

Other carried signs calling for the stop to domestic violence and advertising the parade's purpose, while police officers, involved community members and, most notably, a church youth group marching band, brought up the rear.
