Brooklyn's Backyard is going to be more crowded than usual this Saturday.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — Prospect Park is going to be more crowded than normal this Saturday when hundreds of runners participate in the 2017 "Jingle Bell Jog."
The holiday-themed 5K race, hosted by New York Road Runners, starts at 9:30 a.m. and takes place solely in the park.
Runners start on the West Drive near Prospect Park lake and head counter-clockwise around the park, finishing inside of Center Drive.

Proceeds benefit NYRR's youth programs.
"Now a 5K, this festive family favorite is more than just a road race, it's also a celebration and a fundraiser for NYRR's youth programs," the organization says on its website. "Not only does your entry fee snag you a holiday souvenir and post-race hot chocolate, the proceeds from this race fund youth running programs in schools all over the city!"

The race is sold out, so you won't be able to show up and register on race day, according to NYRR's website.
If you're participating or just want to watch and are coming from elsewhere in the city, remember that 2 and 3 trains are not running between Brooklyn and Manhattan this weekend and that the B does not run on weekends.
