Live In Bill de Blasio's Park Slope Home For Under $2K Per Month

The mayor's 11th Street house is on the rental market.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — Anyone looking to get a taste of Mayor Bill de Blasio's Park Slope life can do just that inside of his 11th Street home that is up for rent for less than $2,000 per month.

Politico first spotted the Streeteasy listing for the one-bedroom apartment on the top floor of de Blasio's standalone house. City property records show that the mayor and his wife, Chirlane McCray, do indeed own the building at 384 11th Street.

They have owned the home since 2004, when de Blasio's mother, Maria Wilhelm, died, according to a spokesman at the mayor's office.

Streeteasy calls the apartment "sunny and sweet" and features its "large closet" and separate kitchen and dining area. The apartment is listed for rent at a humble $1,825 per month. The unit is available May 1 to anyone who doesn't smoke or have pets.

The building's current tenants, who have lived there since 2011, are moving out at the end of April, mayoral spokesman Austin Finan told Patch. The property has been up for rent since March 15, Finan said.

"The mayor and the first lady are putting their longtime Park Slope property up for rent," mayoral spokesman Austin Finan told Patch. "They hope the future tenants will enjoy the home and the neighborhood as they have for so many years."
