Man Killed In Broad Daylight Park Slope Shooting: Police
A 32-year-old man died Monday after he was shot along Fourth Avenue, police said.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — A man died after a broad daylight shooting along a busy Park Slope street Monday, police said.
A 32-year-old man suffered a gunshot to his chest in front of 45 Fourth Ave., near Dean Street, about 3:55 p.m., authorities said.
Medics rushed him to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead, police said.

Council Member Lincoln Restler tweeted that the man was shot at close range.
"The suspect fled the scene," he tweeted.

The shooting is still under investigation and no arrests have been made, NYPD officials said. The incident unfolded a short distance from Barclays Center and the busy Atlantic Terminal.
Police had no further information when a Patch reporter called them Tuesday morning.
The stretch of Fourth Avenue along the borders of Park Slope and Boerum Hill has seen several fatal shootings in recent years.
In 2020, Jose Celis, 58, was shot in the head near Pacific Street.
Another broad daylight shooting on April 22 claimed the life of Nichelle Thomas outside a deli near St. Marks Place. Her ex-girlfriend Latisha Bell, 38, was accused of shooting her point-blank.
