BROOKLYN, NY — A man walked into a Brooklyn auto shop last month and stole over $6,000 in cash from the business, police announced this week.

On the morning of July 7, business was getting underway at New York City Automotive, an auto shop located at 622 Court Street, when a man dressed in all black walked in about 10 a.m. and went up to the second floor, police said.

Once upstairs, he grabbed an envelope stuffed with $6,115.50 from a desk drawer and ran off with the cash-stuffed package, according to the NYPD.
