Park Slope Climbs To 13th-Priciest Neighborhood In City: New Ranking

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — Scoring a swanky Park Slope brownstone got even more expensive this year, a new study found.

Park Slope was the 13-most expensive neighborhood in the city, with a typical sales price of $1.526 million during the second quarter this year, according to a new ranking released Tuesday by PropertyShark.

Not only that, but the neighborhood shot up four slots on the ranking compared to last year, the study found. And it did so while seeing its overall sales drop 32 percent.

But despite those hefty prices, Park Slope was only the fifth-most expensive Brooklyn neighborhood, according to the ranking.

Several neighborhoods near Park Slope saw their prices rise sharply in the last quarter.

Gowanus, the fifth-most expensive enclave in the city, saw its prices jump 50 percent, or $805,000 over the past year, according to the data.

Likewise, Clinton Hill prices jumped 43 percent to $1.25 million, the ranking found.

Such increases weren't universal.

Fort Greene had the second-largest dip among the city's priciest neighborhoods at 28 percent, the study found.
