Park Slope Politician Invites Locals To Sunbathe At His Office
Assemblyman Robert Carroll invited Park Slopers to tan in his office's backyard after spotting someone sunbathing atop a nearby parked car.
PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — Prospect Park isn't the only spot in Park Slope to work on your tan, according to Assemblyman Robert Carroll.
Constituents, or at least one, are cordially invited to tan in the Assemblyman's backyard.
Carroll issued this surprising invitation on Twitter Monday evening in response to an even more surprising photo of a man sunbathing atop a car outside his office on Seventh Avenue between 13th and 14th streets.

"We have a backyard and AC!" Carroll tweeted. "Next time pop into my office and I promise we will assist you in all ways possible to both beat the heat and work on your tan."
The photo — originally posted on Instagram by What Is New York, an account documenting only-in-NYC moments — was very much enjoyed by Carroll's fellow politicians.

"This is incredible!" replied Shahana Hanif, Park Slope's Council member. "People have too much fun in our district."
"Do you provide lounge chairs?" asked Diana Gonzalez, president of the Central Brooklyn Independent Democrats. "Asking for a friend."
Rita Joseph, a nearby district leader, said Carroll was setting the bar high for other politicians.
"Offering to help a neighbor sunbathe = world-class constituent services," she said alongside a crying-with-joy emoji.
