Person Hit By Train At Grand Army Plaza

Service at the station was suspended Wednesday afternoon.

PARK SLOPE, BROOKLYN — A person was hit by a train Wednesday afternoon at Grand Army Plaza, authorities told Patch.

The NYPD and FDNY said the person was hit by a train on the 2/3 line shortly after 3 p.m.

The person's condition was not immediately known as an investigation was underay. According to the MTA, these subway changes were in effect:

  • Southbound 2 and 3 trains are running express from Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center to Franklin Avenue.
  • Some southbound 2 and 3 trains are stopping along the 1 line from Chambers Street to South Ferry then ending.
  • Some southbound 4 and 5 trains end at Bowling Green.
  • 2, 3, 4 and 5 trains are running with delays in both directions.
