Searching for Attempted Bank Robber

Cops seeking attempted bank robber.

The NYPD is asking for the public's help to identify an individual who is suspected of attempted bank robbery earlier this summer.

On Tuesday, July 26, the wannabe bank robber entered M&T Bank, on the corner of Flatbush and Eighth avenues, at around 12:45 p.m. and slipped a teller a note demanding money, according to police.

The teller then ignored the suspect, who is described as a 55 to 60-year-old black man, standing 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10, with a slim build and a dark complexion, until he fled in an unknown direction without any money.

The suspect was wearing a red sleeveless T-shirt, plaid shorts, a tan safari hat, dark shoes and was carrying a black bag.

Anyone with information in regards to this attempted bank robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
