Shooter Fires Gun Outside Gowanus Hotel Near Fourth Avenue: Police

Gunfire rang out early Saturday from a gray minivan with green lights along DeGraw Street, police said.

GOWANUS, BROOKLYN — Gunfire rang out early Saturday outside a Gowanus hotel near a stretch of Fourth Avenue where past shootings have shocked neighbors, police said.

An as-yet-unidentified shooter about 6 a.m. that morning flashed a gun outside the Union Hotel on DeGraw Street and shot it, authorities said.

The shooter, who was inside a gray minivan with green lights, fled after firing the gun, police said.
