Woman Charged In 'I-Hate-Mexicans' Park Slope Subway Attack: NYPD
Police said that the young, Brooklyn resident is the woman who randomly attacked a Park Slope subway rider and told her "I hate Mexicans."

BROOKLYN, NY — A woman was hit with hate crime charges this week after police identified her as the person who randomly attacked a Park Slope subway straphanger and told her "I hate Mexicans," according to the NYPD.
Brooklyn resident Brianna Rodriguez, 21, was arrested Wednesday morning within the Park Slope police precinct on hate crime and assault charges, according to the authorities.
Rodriguez's arrest comes a little over a week after police said she repeatedly punched a 41-year-old woman while the two rode on a Q train heading towards the 7th Avenue station.

When asked by the victim what prompted the random, racist assault, the woman police believe to be Rodriguez said "I hate Mexicans," according to the authorities.
The attack left the victim with bruises on her forehead and cut on her upper left, police said.

Rodriguez's arrest, which comes after police published photos of the assailant taken by the attack victim, was investigated by the NYPD's Hate Crimes Task Force.
